The 2nd annual Christmas for kids was awesome. It warms my heart to see all the people who came out and supported this event. People have asked me why I care so much about bowling. I always say because of the people. The bowling community are some of the most giving people I know. It was a long fun day that when it was all said and done we raised over $5,500. The bowling alley was filled with joy and laughter. The Christmas spirit was definitely present. In case you missed it, the crafts that were sold put Hobby Lobby to shame. The bake sale items were so good that Gordon Ramsey would have approved. The raffle was so big that we almost hired security. The kids’ corner was better than the fair and didn’t break your wallet. The face painting looked so real Bob Ross would have been proud. I want to thank everyone involved. There is too many names to type so I will tag everyone. I’m proud to have these people as family and friends. You are all talented and have huge hearts. Thank you for all the donations and the people that came and supported this event. With the money we will be taking families shopping this next weekend. A lot of families will have a Christmas thanks to your generosity. We will continue to do this event because it’s such a great cause. What a great way to start Christmas!

Christmas For Kids 2016

Central Valley Masters and TNBA Bakersfield Senate paired up to raise money for underprivileged kids. It was a huge success. This past Sunday we went out to Walmart and took 14 families shopping for 36 kids. There are no words to describe the feeling you have when you get to help so many people. We spent all week searching for the right families. Most were single parents with young kids. We had all the families meet there at 1pm. We all greeted them and told them to go shopping and when they were done we would pay the bill. After they were done they all got in a line and we checked them out. We provided them with gifts, wrapping paper, bows and Christmas trees. The smiles on the parents and kids faces was worth all the hard work we put in to this event. We were all walking around smiling like we were the ones getting gifts. I want to thank everyone who helped these families with their shopping. We spent almost $7,000. Thank you to everyone who donated to this event. Without you none of this would have happened. It was a long day but worth it.
